Head of VAT – in-house

This international consulting business has a presence in all major continents and helps its clients mitigate risk and make the most of commercial opportunities. The global in-house tax function is based in the UK with a team also based in the US.

The in-house tax team is currently looking for a head of VAT who will report into the Head of Tax, work with the CFO and the wider management team. The role will be to:

• Lead a team of indirect tax specialists, ensuring the business meets its UK and international indirect tax obligations
• Provide general VAT advice to teams within the business and help with complex client engagements
• Manage ad-hoc projects including transactions and disposals and drive process improvement efficiencies.

The right person will be an experienced Senior Manager who is either looking for a first move in-house or is a number two in-house who is looking to step up. The role offers genuine variety. Working in a commercially active business will ensure a steady flow of interesting tax issues in the future.
