Share Schemes AD/Director

This large accounting firm in Bristol is seeking an experienced share schemes specialist to be a key part of the regional team and work closely with other directors and partners to help deliver a sophisticated and commercial share schemes offering.

This will be a broad role, managing a key client portfolio, playing a key part in the development of the team’s strategy and targets, helping to execute these targets by having involvement in business development and managing other members of staff.

The right person must be proactive and have:

• Ability to advise on the tax treatment of share options and other forms of employee share ownership
• An in depth knowledge of EMI, ESS and knowledge of reward tax and related areas such as employment, NIC and capital gains tax etc
• Expertise on split interest, freezer and nil paid arrangements
• Experience in the preparation of share valuations and liaison with HMRC
• Awareness of accounting, employment law and company law implications of share incentives
• Good client skills
• Interest in the wider HR and human capital drivers and implications of reward

To be considered you will either have a legal or tax background and either be a solicitor, accounting or tax qualified and be looking for a role which offers further progression.
